About the APEX Fellowship

The APEX Fellowship is a competitive award and has a competitive application process; we are usually unable to fund every request we receive. To ensure a strong and accurate application, meet with Experiential Learning staff and/or peer advisors to receive feedback on the application process, your application materials, and any questions you may have.

How to Apply

Start by completing our intent to apply form. Upon submission, you will be given the link to the application

  • For the Sunday, February 18 deadline, the form must be submitted by February 4.
  • For the Sunday, April 7 deadline, the form must be submitted by March 25.
  • If the intent to apply form is completed with less than two weeks prior to the February 18 deadline, applications will be considered for the April 7 deadline.
  • Why? By collecting contact information of those interested in applying, we are able to reach out to ensure they have the information needed to best complete the application and to reduce errors and mistakes on applications.

Complete all elements of the application, including uploading a one-page resume and an unofficial copy of your transcripts.

Send the link for the program/internship agreement to your primary contact at your host organization (link available in application.

  • You will receive a copy of this form in PDF version from Formstack when your host organization submits it; you will upload this with your application.
  • This often goes to a spam / junk folder, so be sure to check there first.

Ask for two recommendations (using this link) to be completed by the application deadline.

APEX Fellowship applications are submitted on Formstack, which offers a save and resume feature. For extended responses, it is best practice to type your responses in a separate document. Review your application carefully before submitting; once it has been submitted, no further changes can be made.
