STEM undergraduate Research (ORIP)

The ORIP program enhances student interest STEM disciplines through working on individual research projects with OSU Wooster faculty. Past ORIP participants have been involved in research ranging from bee abundance, to grapevine health and soil quality, to cross-reactivity of human coronavirus-specific antibodies.

Field Data Intern

Intern will assist with collecting field data including but not limited to: insect scouting and population monitoring, crop stand counts, plant quality assessments and setting and maintaining traps. Laboratory work is also expected and includes maintenance of lab space, processing samples, and data entry.

Research Associate for Housing

The intern will conduct a needs assessment and do research into housing models that have been successful in communities similar to those in Wooster/Wayne County.

Social Justice Intern

The intern will become an integral part of planning and executing ideas and enhancements to existing programs, including the daily Breakfast Program, children’s summer programs, and North Street mission weeks.

Communication and Publicity Intern

The intern will use a variety of media formats to help members of the public, city and county officials and local media understand who people who have unreliable access to safe affordable housing. 

Enforcement Unit One PDO

Intern will have the opportunity to conduct a wide variety of skills while examining and researching employment discrimination claims – excellent for students interested in professions related to law.

Director of Canoe Tripping

The Director of Canoe Tripping assembles, trains and manages a large team of dedicated canoe tripping guides each summer, who guide flat water and white water trips for our campers.

Wilderness Canoe Trip Leaders

Our program organizes over 100 canoe trips each summer, ranging in duration from 2 to +21 days, on both flat water and moving water.
