Students have many opportunities to engage in research both on and off-campus. The Experiential Learning and Community Engagement (ELCE) team in APEX supports through the process of finding, applying, and communicating about their research experiences.
ELCE directly supports student engagement in applied research through APEX Fellowships and AMRE programs. We also work with student researchers in professional development, communicating the impact of the experience, and opportunities to present on the research, such as during Black & Gold Weekend or the EL Symposium.
Students may use the following as a starting point in looking for research opportunities.
- Departmental postings and discussions with academic advisors
- Career Planning resources including position and funding opportunities are on the Scots Career Hub
- Campus programs, such as Sophomore Research and the Wooster Digital History Project.
- Grant supported departmental or individual grants, such as NSF and NIH grant supported work.
