Description:
We are seeking a motivated undergraduate or graduate student with a passion for sociology, social work, African American studies, and psychology/mental health to join our team as a Research Intern. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely or in-office, with occasional assistance required at speaking events or engagements.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct literature reviews and assist in the development of research proposals.
2. Collect, organize, and analyze data using qualitative and/or quantitative methods.
3. Assist in drafting research reports, articles, and presentations.
4. Collaborate with team members to contribute to ongoing research projects.
5. Attend occasional speaking events or engagements to provide support as needed.
6. Demonstrate excellent writing skills for research documentation and communication purposes.
7. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in research practices.
Requirements:
1. Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in sociology, social work, African American studies, psychology, or related fields.
2. Strong interest in social justice issues and community engagement.
3. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
4. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with statistical analysis software is a plus.
6. Some interest in public speaking is encouraged but not required.
7. Reliable internet access and access to necessary technology for remote work.
