Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio is seeking a mission-minded Associate to join us as part time (20 hours per week) Digital Communications Fellow.
SUMMARY
Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio boasts a grassroots infrastructure across the state which works to defend and promote reproductive freedom. The purpose of the Fellowship Program is to support people who are engaged in their community and passionate about equitable abortion access, access to sexual and reproductive health care, meaningful and comprehensive sex education, as well as building a powerful movement and supporting strong, healthy communities. Fellows will work alongside the Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio (PPAO) team, the advocacy arm of Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio and Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio, to defend and promote reproductive freedom in their communities through leadership development, community and civic engagement, grassroots and legislative advocacy, and communications.
PPAO’s Digital Communications Program focuses on using digital tactics and tools to build our base of supporters as well as to engage a diverse base of supporters through our campaigns and programs. Digital Communications Fellows will work alongside our Digital Communications & Strategy Manager to build and expand our Black Organizing, Raíz, and Youth Organizing programs as well as work on a wide range of timebound campaigns including but not limited to voter registration, redistricting, and COVID-19.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Have a strong passion for reproductive freedom, health, and justice.
- Commitment to reproductive freedom and using a REI and DEI lens in the work.
- Work to create content for and assist managing PPAO social media platform.
- Use social media to recruit and engage volunteers and supporters for volunteer programs and campaigns.
- Provide digital assistance to field organizing team for digital and in-person events.
- Assist with online action forms and targeted email program.
- Attend 80% of mandatory fellowship meetings as designated by Digital Communications and Strategy Manager.
- Attend PPAO team meetings, organizer calls, and other calls as schedule permits.
- Attend legislative hearings at the Ohio Statehouse, as schedule permits.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred experience with Canva, Inkscape, Adobe Photoshop, or another graphic design platform.
- Previous experience in grassroots campaigns, Planned Parenthood volunteer experience preferred.
- Strong commitment to quality health care
