TITLE: COLLEGE INTERN – MARKETING
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Executive Director with additional supervision and support from the Director of Marketing.
ROLE: A college intern is in the role of a learner May 13-August 25. An intern would gain valuable experience at NOAS. The intern would work closely with administration, marketing, family recruitment and social work staff. NOAS has a team approach to planning and executing all agency operations.
DUTIES: The intern will also assist with targeted marketing for potential foster and adoptive families in the Mahoning Valley. This includes identifying key neighborhood and saturating the neighborhood (businesses, schools, churches) with material about adoption and foster care.
The intern will assist to develop and execute general marketing and campaigns on social media and other mediums such as brochures, press releases, print, radio and television. The intern will assist with child specific recruitment and coordinating family inquiries for specific children.
The intern will assist with fundraising event planning and execution, donor database entry, as well as research and preparation for grants and foundation funding requests.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The candidate must be strong in written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to multitask. The intern must be comfortable advocating to community members and “making an ask” for information, advocacy or financial support.
Intern must be skilled in MS Office, data entry and social media. Must be a good writer and accurate in data entry.
WORK CONDITIONS:
The intern must be able to work 15-20 hours per week during office hours (Monday–Thursday from 8:30-5:00) May 13-August 15 and also be able to work evenings and weekends for special events.
