Candidates must be accepted into one of the Graduate Programs here at Lander University prior to beginning the position.
Compensation: Selected candidate will receive a 50% tuition and fee waiver as well as a $3000 stipend per semester. Note that if the GA position does not relate directly to their graduate studies the student will be taxed on the stipend and tuition benefits. Graduate Assistants work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year. Graduate Assistantships may be renewed for one additional year.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Creative Content & Media Production Graduate Assistant collaborates closely with the Associate Director of Admissions and the Special Events Coordinator to curate a dynamic collection of multimedia content for the Office of Admissions. Responsibilities encompass capturing captivating photos and videos that showcase the university’s essence to prospective students, including interviews and stories for various platforms. They proficiently utilize Adobe Creative Suite Software to produce, edit, and enhance video content, ensuring its effectiveness in engaging the audience. Additional duties include actively participating in event planning, creatively directing scenes, and assisting with equipment setup and teardown. With an eye on trends in higher education marketing, they contribute to strategic content planning and assist with archiving media assets. Moreover, they lend their skills to take headshots for Presidential Ambassadors, photos for visitors, and ensuring consistency and professionalism across all visual materials.
