Counselors are required to arrive on campus no later than Tuesday, June 18th 2024, and leave no earlier than Monday August 5th 2024.
The Georgetown Preparatory School Summer English Program (SEP) is a coed educational boarding program that offers courses for advancement, enrichment and remediation in English as a Second Language. SEP students are 14-17 years old and hail from 20 different countries around the world. The counselor position is open to qualified undergraduate and graduate students. Juniors and seniors are encouraged to apply.
A schedule of recreational and social activities supplements the English language training. All weekend activities are chaperoned by the summer counselors. These include museum visits, lake outings, mini golf, a water parks, professional baseball game, fireworks, monument tour etc. Counselor responsibilities include dormitory supervision, supervision of afternoon athletics, drama or music programs, and weekend chaperoning duties for field trips. This job entails 24/7 residence on campus.
Georgetown Preparatory School is located on a beautiful 95-acre campus just outside Washington, D.C. The campus includes an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts and a golf course available for counselor use. Applicants should have a commitment to international students and boarding school life.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Room and board will be provided. It is not essential to speak a foreign language.
