Off-campus CityTrek programs are faculty-designed, credit bearing experiential learning opportunities open to all students, usually serving groups of 8-25 students. These short-term experiences allow students to maximize their breaks through structured professional development and skill building.
Sample Break Programs:
CityTrek Pittsburgh
The goal of this 3 day program is to provide students with a high-impact professional development experience while showcasing the city of Pittsburgh as a place to live and work as a young professional. Students will visit a number of companies and organizations in a variety of fields/industries, network with alumni, explore different neighborhoods, and see some of the sights which make Pittsburgh such an interesting and inviting city. The program begins on Wooster’s campus on Wednesday, March 22, continues with one overnight in Pittsburgh, and ends with a wrap-up session in Wooster, on Saturday, March 25. Students with a variety of interests and from any major are welcome to apply.
NatureTrek: North Carolina
This program seeks to engage students with environmental and natural themes through an interdisciplinary lens. Led by the outdoor experiential staff of Camp Nuhop, students will explore ecology, culture, and history while backpacking and cabin-camping in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains of Appalachia.
