My daughter participated in the TREK program to Greece. It was one of the best things that she did at Wooster. The program really allowed her to see what she had learned through her courses in Ancient Mediterranean Studies, and the timing meant she could participate while still doing research for her Chemistry major. The program, like all good study abroad programs, provided ample academic instruction, while also allowing students to gain independence, learn how to operate in a new culture, and grow as a person. It is a cliché, but it is true. It was the perfect program for her, and I am so glad that she participated.
It truly was amazing for Marisol, and even though I tell students that programs are not perfect, this was definitely the perfect program for her.
