There are a lot of unknowns when it comes to studying abroad. That doesn’t mean you can’t prepare – in fact, it makes concerted preparation even more essential!
The Global Engagement Office has assembled many different types of resources for students preparing to study off campus. GEO hopes students take advantage of these resources because, as Dean Graziosi, the co-founder of Mastermind.com and a New York Times best-selling author, says: “When preparation meets opportunity, amazing things can happen.”
MANDATORY Pre-Departure Orientation
Students studying off-campus are required to attend GEO’s mandatory pre-departure sessions held in November (for spring participants) or April (for summer and fall participants). At these sessions we review important health and safety information. Look for an email from one of GEO’s Directors with details.
Note: Students who fail to attend Pre-Departure Orientation will not be allowed to study off-campus. (Yes, it is that important!)
