I am an Anthropology major and Museum Studies minor. At Wooster, I’ve been active in leadership roles in Sociology/Anthropology Club and Leftists of Wooster. I was also active in Environmental Justice Coalition as an underclassman. I worked in the College of Wooster Art Museum doing event programming and cataloging, and in Digital Collections at the CoW Libraries. I joined my Pathway after first learning about museum studies in my first semester. I’ve always been fascinated by the way that our societies tell stories, and studying these cultural institutions represented a compelling opportunity to follow that passion.
My Independent Study examined how museums can assist with heritage language reclamation and revitalization. I overall hope to recognize the important role that museums can play in cultural justice. After graduation, I’m planning on taking a gap year to gain more library work experience and then pursuing an MLIS degree.
