Career Journey Summary, Wooster to Fall 2024: After Wooster, I worked in FL at the bachelor’s level in the school setting as an SLP. Long story short, it took me 3 years to start my graduate program at Valdosta State University (which is a requirement in our field). I graduated in 2000 and got a job in the Gwinnett School system in GA but also supplemented with private therapy on the side (since the pay was so low). Eventually, in 2004, I went out on my own and have had my company for 21 years (as of April 2025).
