The Immigrant Worker Project (based in Canton, Ohio) is focused on empowering and supporting immigrant communities in ways that best adhere to the hopes and needs of the community. They strive to achieve legal, political, and social justice while also creating a greater dialogue that imagines futures of greater opportunities and possibilities.
Qualifications: Students with fluency in Spanish or a Mayan dialect are strongly preferred. Interns without language fluency will be limited in the type of work they can do. IWP expects each intern to participate in the general work of the organization while also focusing on a specific summer project.
