Overview:
K-Beauty Makeup LLC is an e-commerce K-Beauty site where we import Korean skincare and makeup products directly from Korea. K-Beauty Makeup is seeking a proactive social media Intern to join our team. This role focuses on leveraging social media and Shopify to drive sales and engage with our direct-to-consumer (B2C) audience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for K-beauty (Korean beauty makeup and skincare), social media, digital marketing, and sales and will gain hands-on experience in using social platforms and e-commerce tools to generate leads and close sales.
Responsibilities:
- Social Media Engagement: We will utilize social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) to engage with potential customers and promote our K-beauty products.
- Content Creation: We will guide you in developing content highlighting our products and brand to showcase customer success stories and other methods to encourage audience interaction. We will discuss the number of posts that will generate buzz. You will get access, and we will teach you our marketing development platform.
- Lead Generation: Identify and reach potential customers through social media channels, responding to inquiries, and nurturing leads through direct messages and comments.
- Customer Interaction: Help engage followers by responding to comments and messages promptly and professionally and providing product information and support.
- Promotions and Campaigns: Help plan and execute social media promotions, sales campaigns, and special offers to drive sales.
- Support in Management: Support in social media calendar management. We will help you create your own social media management plan to identify when social media posts need to be uploaded on social media platforms.
- Analytics and Reporting: Assist in tracking and analyzing social media metrics related to sales activities, preparing reports on engagement, lead generation, and sales conversions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to align social media efforts.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our K-beauty products to effectively communicate their benefits to potential customers.
- Feedback Collection: Gather customer feedback through social media interactions and report insights to the sales and product development teams.
- Creativity: Use your creativity to create new posts and designs (Canva, Adobe, etc.)
- Opportunity: You may have the chance to create new brand/social media images.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. If you are not pursuing these degrees but you are very good with social media and getting traction, we would love to recruit you.
- Strong written (Ai can help) and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok).
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Enthusiasm for learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in K-beauty and makeup trends.
- Curiosity and creativity to create posts, images, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or work experience in sales, social media management, or digital marketing.
- Experience with social media management tools.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Some background with Shopify and e-commerce management, or we will teach.
- Experience with social media and possibly with analytics and reporting tools.
