Scientist (Contract), in vitro biochemical and cellular assay development, Small Molecule Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology
Description:
- 6-month (at least) contractor position
- The Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology Department develops and implements quantitative biochemical and cellular assays to determine the potency and mechanisms of drug molecules.
- The Scientist will apply cutting-edge assay technologies and automation to develop robust biochemical and cellular assays suitable for screening our novel molecules against emerging targets in immunology and cancer immunology.
- The Scientist will support hit compound potency measurements and characterization as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology or an equivalent quantitative science field
- At least 2 years of experience developing, running and troubleshooting quantitative 384-well plate based biochemical and cellular assays in a drug discovery setting
- Strong working knowledge of absorbance, fluorescence, TR-FRET and fluorescence polarization assays
- Experience using plate readers such as EnVision, SpectraMax, PHERAstar, TECAN M1000 and MSD Sector
- Ability to use laboratory automation such as Echo, Biomek i5/i7/FXP, HP D300e Multidrop Combi
